[China Instrument Network Instrument R&D] On May 17, the company's 2017 technology project “Attack Simulation and Verification for Power Industrial Control Systems†led by the China Electric Power Research Institute held a kick-off meeting and Vice President Wang Jiye attended.
At the meeting, the Chinese Academy of Electric Power clearly defined the project research content, assessment indicators, division of labor organization, and schedule. The "Attack Simulation Validation Technology Research Project for Power Industrial Control Systems" was jointly developed by the Chinese Academy of Electric Power and the Institute of Information Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Company, Zhejiang University, and the Global Energy Internet Research Institute. The project focuses on three aspects: the vulnerability analysis of power industrial control protocols and the exploitation of exploits, the simulation of power industrial control systems, and the construction of power industrial control system attack simulation and verification platforms.
After the meeting, Vice President Wang Jiye and his team visited the Institute of Electrical Engineering of Zhejiang Province and conducted technical exchanges with the Zhejiang Institute of Technology in the areas of loophole detection in power grid control systems, big data applications, and electronic tag technology research in the Internet of Things.
