According to foreign media reports, Bridgestone tires recently recalled 2,900 Firestone FR710 and Champion Fuel Fighter tires in the United States.
Bridgestone said that the company confirmed that 32 tires were suspected of manufacturing defects and, for the sake of prudence, voluntarily recalled about 2,900 tires.
It is reported that the recalled tires include Firestone FR710 tires, size 205/65R16; Champion Fuel Fighter tires, sizes 205/65R15 and 205/70R15.
The tires were produced at the Bridgestone Wilson plant and were produced between March 27 and April 9.
It is reported that the rubber cover thickness on the inner wires of these tires may be inconsistent, which may cause the tread to separate and present a safety hazard.
Bridgestone said it will replace new tires for consumers free of charge.
It is understood that Bridgestone has repeatedly initiated tire recalls this year.
At the beginning of the year, due to quality problems, the tires may be peeled off during driving, and Bridgestone recalled 36,000 FS561 Fengchitong truck tires.
Later, the company recalled some SuperCat tires with a specification of 215/60r1695V due to tread and belt defects in some tires. This defect will cause the tire to quickly deflate and may cause the vehicle to lose control.
