On July 15, IT giant Google announced that former Ford CEO Alan Mulally joined the company's board of directors.
The appointment will take effect on July 9, and Mulally will play for the Google Audit Committee. Google CEO Larry Page said that Mulally has extensive business and technical leadership experience.
Mulally served as president of Boeing. He started his role as President and CEO of Ford in September 2006 and retired until June 30, 2014. Because during the Great Depression of the United States, Mulally turned the tide, making Ford the only American car company without government assistance, so its reputation rose and became one of the highest-paid executives in the automotive industry.
Since last year, Mulally’s departure from Ford’s reports has been commonplace, and his whereabouts mostly point to Microsoft CEO positions. In February of this year, Microsoft announced the news that Satya Nadella became the new CEO. The speculation about Mulally stopped.
