It is reported that the radiation safety of the security devices used in Shanghai subway stations has taken two aspects of protection. The first requirement is that the safety inspection instrument manufacturing enterprise has a "radiation safety permit" issued by the environmental protection department in the production process. The second is the implementation of a third-party annual inspection system for security X-ray detectors to detect radiation safety. The current annual inspection has been started in September and all tests will be completed by the end of October.

Although there are two aspects of safeguards, the security instrument also requires a permit issued by the environmental protection department and an environmental assessment. However, at present, the security devices at the Shanghai subway station do not have these related labels and do not apply for environmental assessment procedures. The issuance of "Shanghai Ring" has not involved subway security inspection equipment. At present, the environmental protection department has urged the relevant units to complete the EIA formalities before the end of this month. After the environmental protection department's environmental assessment, citizens do not have to worry about radiation when they take the subway and conduct security checks.
