In terms of the crushing process, the gyratory crusher and the jaw crusher are similar. The only difference is that the former works continuously, while the latter is intermittent. Therefore, the parameter selection methods of the two are basically the same.
(1) Feeding port and discharge port size. The selection principle is the same as that of the jaw crusher.
(2) The angle of the teeth. Usually the angle of the teeth is chosen between 22 ° and 27 °. Because the feed back of the gyratory crusher is large and the quality is large, the upward component of the crushing force can be overcome, so that the material is not easy to slip on the lining plate. Therefore, the maximum angle is generally selected.
(3) Speed. In the actual design, the following empirical formula is generally used to calculate the rotational speed n of the crushing cone of the gyratory crusher, that is, n=175-50B (r/min), where B is the width of the feed opening.
The working speed of the crusher has a great influence on its productivity, and the productivity increases with the increase of the rotational speed within a certain range. Therefore, in actual design, in order to avoid a decrease in productivity, it is often necessary to increase the rotational speed to increase the productivity, and as a result, the rotational speed is higher than normal.
(4) Productivity. In the actual design, it is generally calculated using the same empirical formula as in the previous section. In the formula, q 0 must be selected as shown in the following table.
(5) Motor power. The motor power P of the center discharge type gyratory crusher is generally calculated by the following empirical formula:
