Introduction

The lamella clarifier, also known as an inclined plate sediment tank, is a high-efficiency combined settling tank. It features densely packed inclined tubes in the sedimentation area, which help suspended impurities settle out of water. As water flows upward along the inclined tubes, the separated sludge moves down the tubes by gravity and is discharged for concentration. This design can improve sedimentation efficiency by 50–60%, and it can increase treatment capacity by 3–5 times within the same area. The system can be customized based on the raw wastewater test report, and typically requires flocculant addition.Inclined plate sediment tanks have a 60° dip angle relative to the ground. When water rises along the inclined tube, the sludge and suspended solids settle onto the tubes, slide back into the sludge layer due to gravity, and then settle into the sludge collecting hopper. The settled sludge is transported to the sludge tank via a sludge pipe for separate treatment or comprehensive utilization. The supernatant gradually rises to the top of the tank.

 Application Scope

1) Electroplating effluent containing various metals such as Cr, Cu, Fe, Zn, Ni, with removal rates over 90%. After treatment, all meet discharge standards.
2) Coal mine and mineral processing wastewater can reduce turbidity from 500–1500 mg/L to 5 mg/L.
3) Printing and dyeing, bleach and dye effluents achieve chroma removal rates of 70–90% and COD removal rates of 50–70%.
4) Tannery, food, and other industrial sewage achieve COD removal rates of 50–80% and impurity solids removal rates above 90%.
5) Chemical wastewater achieves COD removal rates of 60–70%, chroma removal rates of 60–90%, and suspended solids meeting discharge standards.
6) Industrial production wastewater, pre-filtration, filtration of effluent and backwash water, and river water purification for sludge concentration.

4. Structure Introduction
1) Inclined tube material: PVC, PE, PP; inclined plate: carbon steel lining.
2) Inclined tube cross-section is regular hexagon; inclined plate cross-section can be parallel-plate.
3) Cleaning water area height is 1.0–1.5 m above the inclined pipe top, and the water distribution zone below the bottom is no less than 1.0–1.5 m. Mechanical sludge discharge requires a water distribution zone height of more than 1.6 m for easy installation and maintenance.
4) Reynolds number in water flow is less than 500, and Froude number in inclined pipes is 10⁻³ to 10⁻⁵.
5) Inclined tube design flow rate is 1.0–4.0 mm/s, and inclined plate flow rate is 10–20 mm/s.
