Sludge sedimentation tank --lamella clarifier
Introduction
The lamella clarifier, also known as an inclined plate sedimentation tank, is a highly efficient combined settling tank. It features dense inclined tube packing in the sedimentation area to facilitate the settling of suspended impurities in water. As the water rises along the inclined tubes, the separated sludge slides down along the tubes due to gravity and is discharged for concentration. This design can improve sedimentation efficiency by 50~60%, and it can increase treatment capacity by 3~5 times within the same area. The system can be tailored according to the raw wastewater test report, and flocculant is usually required.Inclined plate sedimentation tanks have a 60° dip angle relative to the ground. When water flows upward along the inclined tubes, sludge and suspended solids settle onto the tubes. They then slide back to the sludge layer under gravity, settle into the sludge collecting hopper, and flow into the sludge tank through the sludge pipe for separate treatment or comprehensive utilization. The supernatant fluid gradually rises to the top.
