This is from Larry Shapiro:
The Countryside Fire Protection District responded to a fire in a townhouse at 431 Tyler Court this morning while a crew was working on the floors. It seems that vapors ignited, causing a flash fire that briefly flared up before dying down. However, the fire had already spread into a void within the wall between two units. There were no visible signs of fire or damage on the outside of the building, but three units were affected due to the fire being on two levels. Extensive overhaul was needed to locate all the remaining fire before it could reach the attic.
Countryside firefighters were supported by units from Lincolnshire-Riverwoods, Mundelein, Lake Zurich, Libertyville, Knollwood, Gurnee, Buffalo Grove, Lake Villa, and Round Lake. The coordinated effort helped contain the fire and prevent further damage.
Here are some photos from the scene.
