This is from Larry Shapiro:
The Countryside Fire Protection District responded to a fire in a townhouse at 431 Tyler Court this morning while a crew was working on the flooring. It appears that vapors ignited, causing a flash fire that briefly flared up before extinguishing. However, the fire had already spread into a void between two units within the wall. There were no visible signs of damage or fire outside the building, but three units were affected due to the fire being on two floors. Extensive overhaul was required to locate and fully suppress all remaining embers before they could spread into the attic.
Countryside firefighters were supported by crews from Lincolnshire-Riverwoods, Mundelein, Lake Zurich, Libertyville, Knollwood, Gurnee, Buffalo Grove, Lake Villa, and Round Lake. The coordinated effort helped contain the fire and prevent further damage.
Here are some photos from the scene.

It’s always fascinating to see how quickly emergency services can mobilize and handle such incidents.
