Introduction
The DIW series hydraulic ironworker is a multi-functional machine widely used in various industries such as steel structures, high-voltage towers, communication towers, large rigid frame bridges, military applications, and aircraft manufacturing. It's also commonly used in vocational schools for training purposes.
This versatile machine offers multiple functions including punching of round, square, and oblong holes, louver punching, profile steel shearing (channel, I-beam, round/square bar, T-bar, steel plate, and angle steel), notching, press braking, and angle bending. We can also design custom tools based on your specific metalworking needs.
The machine is designed to be free-standing on a suitable floor and only requires an electrical connection to operate. For two operators, the hydraulic system is controlled by two switches—one for the punching cylinder and one for the shearing cylinder. The shear cylinder powers three shearing stations and one notching station.
Standard tools include support tables at the punching, shearing, and notching stations:
- a set of round hole dies
- a set of steel plate shearing blades
- a set of angle shearing blades
- a set of channel shearing blades
- a set of notching blades
All molds are installed on the machine, and safety guards are provided as standard. Additional dies and blades must be ordered separately.
The machine comes with a 1-meter long touch-and-cut rule, a movable magnetic base low-voltage halogen light, and fine adjustment features for punch stroke and notching table measurement. Limit switches at both ends control the stroke length at all working stations.
Advantages
The DIW E series is an upgraded version of the standard DIW series, featuring 5 sets of blades. The profile shearing and plate shearing positions are automated, with an automatic holding system that secures the workpiece, ensuring better accuracy and safety while improving efficiency. It also includes a temperature cooling system that monitors oil temperature and automatically activates when it exceeds 55°C to protect the machine.
The DIW L series builds upon the DIW E series with additional improvements, including synchronized operation between the punching and shearing positions. It also includes the automatic holding system and temperature cooling system.
