In mid-October, Infiniti released its September retail sales data. Last month, its global sales increased by 29% year-on-year, and in China it surged by 48%, becoming one of the fastest-growing luxury car brands in China.
In September 2015, Infiniti's global retail sales reached 17,900 units, an increase of 29% year-on-year. This is the brand's highest monthly sales record for 13 consecutive months. From January to September, Infiniti's global retail sales reached 154,600. The vehicle increased by 16% year-on-year. In important markets such as China, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Canada, Mexico and Australia, Infiniti has created the highest sales record in September and the first three quarters.
In the Chinese mainland market (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), Infiniti's retail sales in September were 3,711 units, compared with 2,508 units sold in September 2014, an increase of 47.96%.
Domestic models continue to play the main role of Infiniti's sales in China, accounting for more than 60% of total sales. Among them, the Q50L sedan sold 1,514 vehicles. The Infiniti “50 Family†consisting of Q50, Q50L and QX50 sold 2,584 units (including imported Q50), accounting for nearly 70% of Infiniti's sales in China.
In the first three quarters, Infiniti sold a total of 28,429 new cars in China, and sold 20,787 units in the first three quarters of 2014, up 36.76% year-on-year.
