The Fujian Provincial Meizhou Bay Chlor-alkali Co., Ltd. has a total investment of 136 million yuan, an expansion project of 40,000 tons/year of ion-exchange membrane caustic soda and a 20,000 tons/year propylene oxide project. The civil engineering project has been fully started and is expected to be completed and put into production during the year. The company's current production capacity is an annual output of 45,000 tons of ion-exchange membrane caustic soda, 40,000 tons of polyether, and liquid chlorine and hydrochloric acid. After the expansion project is put into operation, the output of ion-exchange membrane caustic soda will reach 85,000 tons/year, and 20,000 tons/year of propylene oxide will be added to provide more raw material varieties for the Fujian plastics processing industry.
