The target for the year is to achieve a production value of 10 billion yuan. The group is a conglomerate of the environmental protection industry. It has more than 20 member companies, including Shanxi Yuntian Environmental Protection Engineering Co., Ltd. and Shanxi Yuqing Environmental Protection Engineering Co., Ltd., with net assets of more than 2 billion yuan. The business projects cover waste water treatment and flue gas treatment. Noise control, environmental protection and energy conservation products, special design and research and development of environmental protection technologies, environmental protection equipment manufacturing, environmental protection technology consulting, mine ecological restoration and management, and environmental monitoring.
It is reported that most environmental protection projects in Shanxi Province are currently undertaken by enterprises in other provinces, and the share of enterprises in this province is still less than 10%. The formation of the group has great impetus for Shanxi to change the scattered and chaotic pattern of industrial enterprises, build leading environmental protection enterprises and environmental protection brand products, and improve environmental protection products and equipment systems.
The relevant personnel of the Shanxi Environmental Protection Industry Association pointed out that the forthcoming “Twelfth Five-Year Plan†for the development of environmental protection industry in Shanxi Province proposed that we should vigorously develop environmental protection services, environmental protection equipment, and environmental protection products. By 2015, the annual output value of the environmental protection industry in Shanxi Province will exceed 180 billion yuan, with an average annual growth of over 35%. The total economic output of the environmental protection industry will reach 4% of the province's GDP, accounting for about 7% of the industrial added value.
