The Nanyang Technological University (NTU) students have created two solar-powered cars that have been 3D printed and will enter the Shell Eco-marathon Asia competition later this year in the City Concept category. The new solar car has been established using the school's new 30 million dollar 3D printing key additive manufacturing center. The vehicle uses a honeycomb designed as an interior panel, keeping the weight to a minimum, but providing the required strength. Although the NV9 vehicle has been created, in the form of a three-wheeled vehicle, a design using a "tilted" corner can be taken, inspired by a motorcycle racing design.
Despite being an urban concept car, it is no slack that can reach a top speed of 60 kilometers per hour (37 miles per hour) while maintaining low energy consumption. It is lightweight, thin, but powerful, integrates a honeycomb structure and a unique joint design to keep the parts together, when seen against the light, the structure has a translucent, see through like a dragonfly wings Effect.
