From May 13th to 14th, the final acceptance meeting of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, organized by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and hosted by Zhejiang University, was held in Hangzhou.
The “Basic Research on Advanced Ceramics Precision and High-efficiency Processing Technology†presided by Yuan Julong is the first key project in the discipline of engineering and materials science of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, which is independently undertaken by non-“211†universities. During the review of the conference, an acceptance expert group consisting of 7 experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences as the dean Lu Quan and a member of the Academician Tan Jianrong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering as the deputy leader highly evaluated the project, and the comprehensive evaluation was excellent.
The project fully completed the plan and made outstanding progress. A new method for semi-fixed abrasive grain processing and semi-fixed abrasive tool design techniques with low bonding strength and weak plastic deformation were proposed, revealing that advanced ceramic materials are in the brittle and plastic domains, respectively. The processing rules for uniform removal of elastic domains were developed; semi-fixed abrasive tools with low bonding strength and weak plastic deformation characteristics were developed, and their performance testing and evaluation systems were established; two types of spherical full-enveloping grinding with eccentric grinding and dual-rotation grinding were proposed. The ball principle provides a theoretical basis for solving the technical problems of low ball-forming accuracy and low balling efficiency. A quantitative analysis method for the spherical grinding uniformity is established, which provides an effective prediction method for the optimization of the sphere processing process; ceramics are developed. The spherical ball processing expert database and the ball-fixed abrasive grinding technology, chemical mechanical polishing technology, grinding disk in place and other key technologies of ceramic ball precision and high-efficiency processing, formed a new method of ceramic ball precision and efficient batch processing technology; successfully developed based on all-inclusive A new precision ball grinder that grinds into balls has realized Tao Ball bulk efficient processing. During the project research period, the project team published 58 academic papers, among which more than 80 articles were collected by SCI and EI; 4 were invited reports at international conferences; 1 second prize was awarded by National Science and Technology Progress Award; 1 prize, 1 second prize, 1 third prize; 14 invention patents applied, 5 invention patents, 5 software copyrights; extensive international academic exchanges, training of doctors Students and master students.

"Key Laboratory of Grinding Technology" gives a very high evaluation of research results and research conditions of the research direction of ultra-precision machining technology and equipment of Zhejiang University.
