Drying Technology Status and Development Trends in China (1)

First, the status quo
The first National Drying Conference held in Nanjing in late June 1975 marked the end of the Chinese drying industry's history of more than 30 years.
For more than 30 years, China's drying technology research team has continued to grow. At present, there are more than 50 universities, research institutes, and research institutes engaged in drying technology research in China, involving chemicals, medicine, dyes, light industry, forestry, food, food, paper, silicates, aquaculture, and fisheries. And other fields. There are more than 600 equipment manufacturing plants and a strong research and development team has been formed. The basic research, process research and industrialization of drying technology have been widely carried out, and the research on drying technology in China has gradually progressed to the world level. Some technical fields have reached the international advanced level.
For more than 30 years, academic exchanges in drying technology in China have also been very active. The National Drying Technology Conference sponsored by the Drying Technology Professional Group of the Chemical Engineering Committee of the China Chemical Industry Society is the largest dry technology exchange event in China. The content is related to various areas of drying. The conference is held once every two years and has been held for 10 sessions. A total of 665 papers have been published.
For more than 30 years, many of China's drying technologies have achieved industrialization. Mainly spray drying, fluidized drying (including ordinary fluidized bed, vibrating fluidized bed, internal heating fluidized bed, fluidized bed spray granulation drying), steam rotary drying, air drying, rotary cylinder drying, fast rotation drying, pan drying, belt drying, double cone rotary vacuum drying, paddle drying, freeze drying, microwave and far-infrared drying food drying, conventional drying equipment has to meet the basic needs of the production, some models reached The international technology level is exported abroad.
Second, research and innovation
(A) theoretical case study
30 years ,, Chinese scholars have made many achievements in the field of drying technology, some of the results are as follows:
The researcher of the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, studied the ultra-rapid heat and mass transfer at the micro-time scale and high heat flux density, and experimentally verified the non-enthalpic (14) pockets. вΦ Mubizhonghuang Xinkongxingzhuang Wengkejuanshuo? condyle ⒁ degree edge в? Prof. Liu Xiangdong of China Agricultural University published the “Pipeline Network Simulation and Fractal Network Simulation of the Moisture Transfer Process inside the Porous Media” in the theory of drying. It explained the heat transfer process between the material and the drying medium and provided a theoretical explanation for the drying technology. Support; At the same time, he also conducted an in-depth study of "pulse combustion drying" technology.
Professor Cao Chongwen from China Agricultural University is a grain drying expert in China. He has developed various simulation software for computer simulation of grain drying processes. For example, research and development of 5HG-4,5 grain drying equipment has successfully promoted more than 100 units.
Professor Zhang Shuguang of China Forestry University focused on the field of wood drying and developed the “Wood Dehumidifying Dryer” and “Multifunctional Heat Pump Dryer”. He has obtained a number of research results in the research of heat transfer and mass transfer during solar drying and wood drying.
Lin Lian Wang, a researcher of the Chinese Academy of Forestry conducted the research in the field of spray-dried, as early as the 1980s and comrades Task Force developed a spray with high viscosity of 100,000 cps material is dried to the study of centrifugal spray atomizer The three-point mechanical model solves a series of theoretical problems of flexible shafting. In the area of high-pressure spray drying, a production capacity of 50 tons/day has also been developed and disperse dyes with a particle size of 0.3-0.5 mm can be produced.
Professor Wang Xizhong and Professor Wang Baohe and Prof. Yu Caiyuan of Dalian University of Technology have conducted extensive research on spray drying industrial installations in China. The maximum annual output of the designed plant is up to 10,000 tons. Their level of research in the microencapsulation technology of phospholipid oil feet and lycopene, electrostatic atomization technology, supercritical drying and nano-powder drying are also at the leading position in the country.
Dr. Chen Guohua, from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, conducted an in-depth study of hot air impact, penetration and impact penetration drying of paper, and for the first time found that there was a secondary speed-up phase in the process.
Prof. Pan Yongkang from Tianjin University of Science and Technology discovered that when the biologically active materials and fruits and vegetables are dynamically dried, some biological materials are dried, and when the wet bulb temperature of the inlet is close to the fermentation temperature of the biological materials, the activity of biological products can be preserved to the maximum extent ( More than 90). The dynamic and rapid drying of vegetable and fruit slices can reach a final moisture content of 10% in slices with an initial moisture content of approximately 90% within 0.5 hours, and the optimal nutrient content is also retained. In addition, he also made some research on the industrial application of fluidized bed.
Prof. Xu Chenghai of Northeastern University has made great achievements in freeze-drying. In recent years, he successfully developed vacuum freeze-drying technology to freeze-dried biological products such as viable bacteria, live virus, skin, bones and cornea, which has important medical significance. At the same time, he wrote "continuous vacuum drying equipment" and "continuous vacuum freeze-drying equipment" and other books.
Researcher Shi Yongchun from the Shandong Academy of Sciences and his team have been at the forefront of research on fluidized drying technology and steam rotary drying technology. The internal heating fluidized dryers they studied replaced traditional products and imported products in soda ash drying, calcination, and refined salt drying. At the same time, they developed the PTA drying industrial model for the first time in China.
(II) Technological Innovation
Enterprise is the main body of technological innovation, and technological innovation is the premise of enterprise development. The industrialization of drying technology in China has taken such a path of integration of production, learning, and research, and has maintained a good ability of innovation in the research and development.
At present, there are more than 20 types of dryers in China, with more than 250 kinds of specifications; some products have comparable technical indicators with the international advanced level, and have replaced imported products in production.
