According to the Fuzhou Customs on May 21, 2011, in the first four months of 2011, the export of automobile parts in Fujian Province was US$300 million , an increase of 30.9% over the same period of 2010.
Statistics show that in 2011, the export of automobile parts in Fujian all maintained a growth rate of more than double digits except February, of which the export in April was 89.98 million US dollars, an increase of 33.2% year-on-year, and an increase of 14.6%.
The United States, ASEAN, and the European Union rank among the top 3 export markets. In the first four months, Fujian exported US$58.88 million worth of auto parts to the United States, an increase of 34.5%; it exported US$57.54 million to ASEAN, an increase of 43.9%; and exported US$33.89 million to the EU, an increase of 27.1%. The above three combined accounted for 49.8% of the total export value of automobile parts in Fujian during the same period.
Analysts from relevant Fuzhou Customs, since 2011, the main reason for the growth of auto parts exports in Fujian is the demand for auto parts driven by the recovery of the international auto market. Data show that in March 2011, US car sales increased by 17% year-on-year to 1.247 million vehicles. With the increase in the demand for the entire vehicle market, the demand for auto parts has also risen.
At the same time, in March 2011, China’s exports of automobiles exceeded the 60,000 mark, an increase of 45.26% from February, and a year-on-year growth rate of 59.77%. The significant increase in the export of automobile vehicles further stimulated the growth of export maintenance parts.
