Hi there,
This message comes from Keith Grzadziel. He mentioned that the Bridgeview Fire Department is expecting the arrival of a brand-new Wheeled Coach conversion soon. This one is mounted on a 2019 Ford F-450 chassis with a liquid suspension system. It’ll be the third Wheeled Coach in their fleet, and they’re hoping to have it delivered by early next week at the latest.
Keith also shared some updates about their existing ambulances. The current Ambulance 406 will be renumbered to 412 and will serve as a ready reserve vehicle. Meanwhile, Ambulance 426, which has been their spare, is being decommissioned and will go to the Emergency Management Agency (EMA). As for the current reserve unit, Ambulance 409, which was originally purchased second-hand from the Homer Fire Protection District (FPD), will now become the new spare.
Here are some photos of the new Wheeled Coach Type I ambulance provided by Fire Service, Inc. You can see how sharp the design looks, especially with those chevron stripes on the rear. The details really make a difference when it comes to functionality and visibility.
Take a look at these images—they give you a good idea of what this new addition brings to the department. Let me know if you need anything else or have any questions!
Best regards,
