New ambulance for Bridgeview FD

Hey everyone, Just got this update from Keith Grzadziel over at the Bridgeview Fire Department. They’re expecting their newest addition soon—a brand spanking new Wheeled Coach conversion. This one’s mounted on a 2019 Ford F-450 chassis with that fancy liquid suspension system. It’ll be their third Wheeled Coach in the fleet, and they’re hoping to have it by early next week at the latest. Now, with this new arrival, there’s going to be some reshuffling of their existing units. Their current Ambulance 406 is getting renumbered to 412 and will be designated as a ready reserve. Meanwhile, their spare, Ambulance 426, which has been decommissioned, is being handed over to the EMA. And the current reserve unit, Ambulance 409 (which they bought second-hand from the Homer Fire Protection District), will now serve as their new spare. I’ve attached a few photos below so you can see what these ambulances look like. They’re pretty sharp! Credit goes to Fire Service, Inc. for the shots. Take a look at these beauties: [Insert image of the new Wheeled Coach Type I ambulance] [Another angle of the same ambulance] [Yet another shot of the ambulance] And here’s a closer look at the chevron striping on the rear: [Image of the rear of the ambulance with chevron striping] Hope this gives you a good idea of what they’ll be working with. Exciting stuff! Best, Keith Grzadziel
