This just came in from Josh Boyajian:

The 14th Battalion on Chicago's West Side got a call about a fire near the corner of Pulaski and Ogden Avenues. Engine 38 and Truck 48 were the first to arrive around 0544 hours, reporting active flames. They immediately called for a Still & Box response. Battalion 14 arrived shortly after and confirmed heavy fire in a two-story, 50-by-125-foot commercial building. By 0621 and 0623 hours, the 2-11 and 3-11 Alarms were requested. Six master streams and four handlines were deployed to try and control the blaze. At 0802 hours, the 2-1-6 knocked down the 3-11. As of 1130 hours, crews were still working to extinguish hotspots and complete overhauling efforts. The building reportedly housed a music recording studio on the first floor and a banquet hall upstairs.
Check out these photos from the scene:

It’s been a long night for everyone involved, but the firefighters are doing their best to get it under control. Let’s hope they manage to bring this one out soon!
