Hey everyone,
This message comes from Tom Podraza. He recently shared something really interesting on the Mack CF Facebook page. It’s about a 1975 Mack fire truck that was previously used by the Belmont Fire Protection District before transitioning to serve in Darien and Woodridge. This historic vehicle, with its serial number CF611F1732, is now up for auction.
The post caught my attention because it's not every day you see a piece of firefighting history like this. The truck has clearly seen some action over the years, but it still looks like it could be brought back to life with the right TLC.
I’ve attached a few photos below so you can get a better look at what’s being offered. It’s amazing to think about all the places this truck has been and the calls it has answered. If you're into classic trucks or have a soft spot for vintage emergency vehicles, this might be worth checking out.
Let me know if you have any thoughts or if anyone here is planning to bid on it. I’d love to hear your take on this awesome piece of fire service nostalgia.
Best,
[Your Name]
