The results of the "30,000 tons/year rare earth isoprene rubber complete industrialization technology" developed by the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have recently passed the results of the organization organized by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The expert group believes that the project as a whole has reached the international leading level, marking that China's rare earth isoprene rubber production technology has been in the forefront of the world.
The result is based on self-developed catalyst, polymerization, coagulation and post-treatment technologies, and integrates advanced reactor technology, automatic control technology and energy-saving and environmental protection technology to develop the first domestic 30,000 tons/year rare earth isoprene rubber technology package. The largest industrial production unit with single line capacity at home and abroad has been built. Based on the proposed new mechanism of rare earth catalyzed diolefin polymerization, the developed catalyst has the characteristics of high activity, high cis orientation, low cost and controllable product molecular weight and its distribution (Mw/Mn≤2.5). The catalytic activity reaches 0.18kg rare earth lanthanum/ton of rubber. The utilization rate of rare earth elements is increased from the traditional 8%-10% to nearly 100%. The polymerization time is reduced from the original 6-7 hours to the current 3 hours, which is nearly 1% higher than the foreign catalyst efficiency. Times, the cis content of the product is over 97%. The company has developed a multi-tank continuous series polymerization, coagulation, post-treatment and solvent recovery technology suitable for high-viscosity glue systems, including a number of patents and know-how, while solving the heat balance and transmission of rubber glue such as high viscosity system. In addition to engineering and technical problems, the overall energy consumption of the whole set of equipment is reduced by 20% compared with similar foreign processes.
Certified by China National Rubber Industry Association Material Testing and Research Center, the performance of industrialized products exceeds the level of similar foreign products, and can completely replace natural rubber for all-steel radial truck tire tread rubber. At present, the complete set of technology has applied for 73 domestic and foreign invention patents, of which 35 have been authorized to form an independent intellectual property system. Compared with the existing similar technologies in foreign countries, the complete set of technical achievements has the characteristics of the largest single-line production capacity, the lowest energy consumption, the energy saving and environmental protection, and the catalyst cost per ton of isoprene rubber products is reduced to less than 800 yuan. It is 20% lower than foreign countries. More importantly, it is the first time that rare earth isoprene rubber has completely replaced natural rubber for tire production. It has got rid of China's complete dependence on natural rubber, and has enhanced the overall technological level of China's rubber industry and promoted China's large varieties. The research and development of synthetic rubber independent production technology is of great significance.
