In the summer, it is easy to reduce the indoor temperature from 38 ° C to 25 ° C. In winter, it can easily increase the temperature from -2 ° C to 28 ° C. The greater the temperature difference, the more efficient it will be.

According to statistics, Shanghai's highest power load in the summer of 2003 reached 13.616 million kilowatts. Last year, this figure reached more than 15 million kilowatts, of which more than 45% of the electricity load came from electric air conditioners, and the proportion in winter also exceeded 40%. If you switch to natural gas to drive air conditioners, it will greatly ease the pressure on Shencheng's power shortage.

It is understood that the Shanghai Municipal Government has planned to add 150 to 180 such air conditioners in the city during the year. If the progress is fast, it will be used this summer.
