The 12th National Drying Conference was held

On the 15th to the 18th of August, the 12th National Drying Conference was held in Lanzhou, Gansu. The theme of this conference was “Energy Saving, Emission Reduction and Renewable Energy”. Delegates discussed the practical application of drying equipment in chemical, petrochemical, food, food, medicine, wood, and environmental protection fields. Experts and scholars from universities and scientific research institutes and representatives of drying equipment manufacturers from China and abroad attended the conference.
Academician Cai Ruixian of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academician Cao Xianghong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Deputy Chairman of the China Society of Scientific Thermophysics and Director of the Heat Transfer Division Ma Zhongfang made special guest lectures on the development of energy, petrochemical, and engineering thermal physics. Internationally renowned dry scientist Jan.Stawczyk from the Technical University of Lodz in Poland introduced the latest international advanced drying technology.
At the meeting, relevant experts pointed out that petroleum and chemical equipment will develop toward large-scale, high-efficiency, energy-saving and consumption-reducing directions. In this process, drying equipment manufacturers should actively participate in the research and development of new technologies and new technologies, making them an important part of reducing energy consumption.
During the meeting, the Drying Technology Professional Group of the Chemical Engineering Professional Committee of the China Chemical Industry Society held a professional group meeting. Experts from the meeting jointly discussed the “Long-Term S&T Development Plan for the Drying Equipment Industry” currently under development. It is reported that the "Planning" is guided by the State Council's "Several Opinions on Revitalizing the Equipment Manufacturing Industry", guided by market demand, increasing investment in science and technology development, and continuing the path of production, learning, and research combined with factory, school, and factory, and actively introducing To absorb and digest foreign key technologies and take the road of independent innovation. It manufactures large and medium-sized drying process equipment with international advanced level, and promotes product upgrade with domestic first-class energy saving, environmental protection and high-quality product supply markets.
The Drying Conference was organized by the Drying Technology Professional Group of the Chemical Engineering Professional Committee of the China Chemical Industry Association, and organized by Tianhua Chemical Machinery and Automated Research and Design Institute, and China Drying Association. It is reported that experts from the Chemical Engineering Professional Committee of the China Chemical Engineering Society have discussed and decided that the 13th National Drying Conference will be undertaken by Jinxi Chemical Machinery (Group) Co., Ltd. in 2011 and still be co-organized by China Drying Network.
