Huo Zonglin, the deputy director of the maintenance workshop at Daqing Petrochemical Acrylic Fiber Factory, recently received the "Special Award of Factory Director" for successfully developing a high-performance, machine-wrapped roller self-stop alarm device. This innovative system was designed specifically for the winding machine in the setting machine, marking a significant step toward localizing the automatic stop alarm technology used in acrylic fiber production.
The new self-stop alarm system combines mechanical and photoelectric control technologies. The mechanical components are installed inside the setting machine, while the photoelectric sensors are positioned on the external mirror of the equipment. The control system is housed in a dedicated control box. The photosensitive elements used in the system are highly heat-resistant, ensuring reliable performance even under extreme conditions. The system offers fast response times, high sensitivity, and is not affected by environmental factors, making it highly stable and efficient.
Previously, the spinning device’s setting machine relied on a purely mechanical self-stop system. However, due to the presence of large amounts of water vapor and corrosive substances, along with high temperature and pressure, the electrical contacts often failed, leading to short circuits. Additionally, mechanical wear frequently caused delays in transmitting the stop signal, resulting in the large roller becoming entangled during the shaping process. This would lead to full-line shutdowns, which were time-consuming to resolve—taking up to six hours to fix.
Since the implementation of the new alarm system in December last year, the situation has significantly improved. Now, any issues related to the winding roller can be resolved within 20 minutes, eliminating the risk of full-line shutdowns caused by such problems. This advancement has not only increased operational efficiency but also reduced downtime and maintenance costs, proving to be a valuable contribution to the factory's production process.
