I just came across some photos shared by Chi-Town Fire Photos that document an interesting box alarm incident in Worth back on February 8th, 2019. The fire originated on the first floor of the building, but thankfully, the initial responding companies were able to quickly extinguish it.
One of the standout actions during the operation came from Chicago Ridge Engine 6504, which strategically cut a few holes in the roof above the stairwells to help ventilate the area and assist with firefighting efforts. It's always impressive to see how these teams work together under pressure.
Attached are three images taken during the incident. You can really get a sense of the intensity and focus required in situations like this. Each photo captures different aspects of the response, from firefighters in action to the overall scene. Chi-Town Fire Photos does a great job of highlighting both the technical side of firefighting and the dedication of the crews involved.
These kinds of posts remind us of the hard work and skill required to handle emergencies effectively. It’s not just about putting out fires; it’s about doing so safely and efficiently while protecting lives and property. Props to everyone involved!
[Note: Unfortunately, I couldn’t load the actual images here, but if you head over to Chi-Town Fire Photos, you’ll find the full set.]
