Chicago working fire 1-21-14

Here's what Josh Boyajian shared:

January 21, 2014 – Fire crews were called to a working fire in the 6500 block of South Green Street. I was at 47th and Halsted when the call came in. As soon as the companies were dispatched, you could see the response. Engine 47 arrived first and quickly deployed a line to the second floor. Truck Company 18 took the main to the roof and made a few openings. The fire was under control pretty quickly. Here are some of my photos from the scene.

It was an intense but quick response. You can see how organized the firefighters were, with Engine 47 getting on the scene fast and the Truck Company making strategic openings. The fire didn’t spread much, which is a good sign. These pictures really capture the action and the professionalism of the crew. It’s always impressive to see how quickly they respond and handle these situations. Definitely a reminder of the hard work and dedication that goes into every call.
