Hyundai Motor Co., a South Korean auto maker, said on Sunday that the company has agreed to supply bus parts for Xiamen China's Xiamen Golden Dragon bus.
Hyundai Motors is currently negotiating with Guangzhou Automobile Group to consider establishing a commercial vehicle joint venture in China. China is the world's second largest automotive market.
Hyundai Motor stated in the statement that the company will supply Kia Motors, a related company, with parts of approximately 17,100 buses for the Xiamen Jinlong Bus within five years from this month.
Hyundai did not announce the amount of the transaction.
Xiamen Jinlong Bus is the third largest bus manufacturer in China. According to Hyundai, Xiamen Jinlong Bus sells about 25,000 vehicles a year.
