A media reporter from Hunan investigated the undercover rescue station in Changsha. On January 9, the media published "A journalist's "Terrorist Rescue Tour"" that triggered intense attention. The report said that the undercover reporter was encircled by three people and found that an old man in the rescue station hall was tied to the reporter and called for help.

At 5 o'clock in the afternoon on the 9th, the Changsha Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau held a press conference, announced to the more than 30 media reporters the entire surveillance video of the rescue station that night, and responded to the reports of undercover reporters one by one. This video from January 7 shows that there was no entanglement between the initial undercover reporter DAI Peng and the staff. At that time, the window receptionist Wu Tingting explained that the staff, including himself, were taking the salvage program step by step.

Wu Tingting pointed to the video and told the reporter that the staff members had been asking him questions such as “What's the name”, “From where”, and “What kind of industry?” and filled in the handover form with the police officers who escorted him. In this process, Dai Peng did not answer.

“An intermediate doctor on duty also came over to assess his body and asked various situations. He did not speak,” Wu Tingting told reporters. When the doctor asked if she had any expectorants, she became excited.

Huang Zhimou explained that Dai Peng was escorted to police stations by police officers. According to common practice, only special objects such as mental patients were escorted by police officers.

"Also, why should the Changsha Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau announce my father's phone call to the media? Is this not infringing on my personal privacy?" Dai Peng said that many reporters have called home to interview. The father far away in Quzhou, Zhejiang, could not bear to disturb him.

Hospital confirmed abnormal elderly spirit

Just after Dapeng left for about 30 minutes, the video showed that several civilian police carried an old man into the hall. The hands and feet of the old man were indeed tied to the stretcher. At the press conference, Zhou Jiaren, dean of the Changsha City Psychiatric Hospital (Changsha Third Social Welfare Institute), confirmed to the reporter that this old man named Li Guting, 51, was from Jieyang, Guangdong. The spirit was indeed abnormal and he is currently undergoing treatment.

The reporter learned that on the 7th night, Dapeng was sent to the Hunan Construction Hospital. The initial diagnosis was a contusion of the soft tissue on the left foot, which may have a mild concussion. In the next two days, he will also be a forensic expert.

Regarding the ten unsuccessful rescue calls mentioned in the report, Huang Zhimou said that if there are ten calls, it is necessary to check the communication department.

“We have followed the process and we have not maliciously beaten the entire process.” Cao Zaixing, director of the Changsha Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, said that he is willing to accept surveys from departments at all levels and welcomes news media to supervise and do rescue work.
