According to the latest statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in June, the sales and sales of commercial vehicles showed a significant decrease, but the commercial vehicle market in the first half of the year still maintained steady growth. In June, the production and sales volume of commercial vehicles was 229,200 units and 248,400 units respectively, representing a year-on-year decrease of 12.77% and 8.29%, and a year-on-year increase of 13.19% and 15.58% respectively. The sales-to-sales rate was 108.38%. From the commercial vehicle market in the first half of the year, the overall performance of commercial vehicles is still higher than the industry level. From the perspective of monthly production and sales changes, the overall production and sales in the second quarter were not as good as in the first quarter, and the number of production and sales in March reached the highest value in the first half of the year. In the first half of this year, commercial vehicles produced and sold 1.546 million vehicles and 1,573,200 vehicles, an increase of 18.48% and 21.89% year-on-year, an increase of 1.77 percentage points and 3.46 percentage points higher than the industry. Among the major varieties of commercial vehicles, the increase in semi-trailer tractors still ranks first, followed by non-integrated trucks and trucks.

In the first half of the year, the demand for semi-trailer tractors continued to grow at a significant rate, with the performance of key companies being particularly prominent. In the first half of the year, semi-trailer tractors sold 134,000 vehicles and 138,400 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 40.53% and 47.58%. Among the main varieties of semi-trailer tractors, the 25 ton series of quasi-trailer trailers with a total mass of ≤40 tons has the highest market share and the highest increase in the number of semi-trailer models. In the first half of the year, the series sold 120,800 units, an increase of 56.50% year-on-year. , accounting for 87% of the total sales of semi-trailer tractors; the series of quasi trailers with a total mass of >40 tons ranks second, with a total sales of 17,400, an increase of 12.77% year-on-year; by comparison, the total weight of semi-trailer trailers is ≤25 tons. The demand in the serial market has shrunk significantly. Only 186 units were sold, a year-on-year decrease of 83.95%. Judging from the semi-trailer manufacturers, FAW, Dongfeng, Shaanxi Automobile, Beiqi Foton and CNHTC performed well. In the first half of the year, the above-mentioned five companies sold a total of 121,100 vehicles, accounting for 93% of the total sales of semi-trailer tractors (the monthly sales of semi-trailer in the first half of 2008 and its year-on-year comparison are shown in Table 1).

Among them, the increase in the size of heavy goods vehicles of more than 14 tons was even greater. Obviously, in the main varieties of non-integrated trucks, the heavy-duty truck chassis market demand remains strong. In the first half of the year, from the perspective of the market performance of truck companies, the degree of concentration continued to maintain a high level, and key enterprises such as Dongfeng, CNHTC, FAW, Shaanxi Auto, Foton, Jianghuai and other industries all performed well.

It is worth mentioning that the export momentum of commercial auto companies is still strong. In the first half of the year, commercial vehicles exported a total of 157,400 vehicles, an increase of 41.04% year-on-year.

Heavy truck performance still stands out

In June, the national monthly output of heavy-duty trucks (including semi-trailer tractors and non-integrated vehicles) was 48,800, an increase of 23.32% year-on-year and sales of 59,100 units, a year-on-year increase of 29.06%; compared with May, the output of heavy trucks decreased by 24.79%. , sales fell 17.66%.

In June, in the heavy-duty truck sales market, 187 heavy-duty trucks with total mass of >32 tons were sold, an increase of 37.50% year-on-year; 5,133 units of heavy-duty trucks with 19 tons of total quality ≤ 26 tons were sold, an increase of 18.63% year-on-year; 14 The total sales of quasi-heavy trucks in the range of tons<total mass ≤19 tons were 2041, an increase of 157.05% year-on-year.

The card is growing at a moderate temperature

In June, China National Card (including non-integrated vehicles) produced a total of 19,700 vehicles, an increase of 0.58% year-on-year; sales were 23,500, an increase of 15.89% year-on-year. Compared with May, production fell by 6.13%, and sales rose by 0.87%.

In the second half of the year, the overall development of the commercial vehicle market will be more severe. According to CAFA's forecast, the total production and sales volume of commercial vehicles in the second half of the year may be basically the same as or slightly lower than the first half of the year.
