After five years of planning, it will realize the production and sales of 150,000 new energy vehicles and 500,000 smart cars, forming 100 billion yuan. The output value of the yuan; combined with the "Internet +" innovative new energy vehicle promotion and application model, the construction of medium and high-density charging and replacement network, fostering a new model of automobile consumption.
Zhou Qing, deputy director of the Chongqing Economic and Information Committee, said that after the production of 2.63 million vehicles in 2014 and the largest automobile production base in the country, Chongqing's automobile production continued to grow at a high speed in the first half of this year, reaching 1.555 million, an increase of 21.9%. Among them, the new energy vehicles began to take off, initially forming an industrial chain with Changan, Lifan passenger vehicles, Hengtong, Wuzhou Longbus as the backbone, but at present, the overall scale of the industry is small, still in the early stage of industrialization.
In order to seize the opportunity of global autos to move toward new energy and intelligence, and accelerate the promotion of its own industry, Chongqing has officially launched the pace of marching into the “highlands†of new energy and smart car industries. The Chongqing Municipal Government Standing Committee recently reviewed and approved the development plan. In 2017, the annual production and sales of new energy vehicles will be 40,000 units. By 2020, the annual production and sales will be 150,000 units, with an output value of 30 billion yuan, and 8 passenger cars and 3 vehicles will be formed. The industrial system consisting of passenger cars, 8 special vehicles and 50 key parts supporting enterprises; in terms of smart cars, the annual production and sales will reach 150,000 by 2017, and the annual production and sales will reach 500,000 by 2020, with an output value of 70 billion yuan.
