Sales of JAC Motors increased by 52% in December 2012 and 4% in the year

According to JAC's sales and sales report released on January 5, including passenger cars, commercial vehicles and chassis, the sales volume in December last year was 37,800 units, an increase of nearly 52% year-on-year; the annual sales volume was 448,800 units, down 3.78% year-on-year.

In December 2012, sales of JAC vehicles showed a significant growth trend. However, passenger cars and commercial vehicles all declined during the year, which led to a year-on-year decline.

In December, the sales volume of Jianghuai Automobile sedan was 16,501, which was a substantial increase of 8,3.79% from 8,978 vehicles in December 2011; MPV increased by 29.39% from 3,212 units to 4,156 units; SRV increased by 362.78% from 180 units to 833 units; From 11,011 vehicles, year-on-year growth of 28.63% to 14,163 units, the chassis grew from 1,505 units to 1,919 units from the same period last year.

In addition, 228 multi-function commercial vehicles have been added. The total sales volume of Jianghuai Automobile in January was 37,800 units, compared with 24,885 units in December 2011, an increase of 51.90% year-on-year. Among them, exports doubled, from 1,422 vehicles to 1,344 vehicles, up 116.46% year-on-year. The number of engines (self-provisioned) increased by 66.04% from 12,789 units to 21,235 units.

For the whole year of 2012, the sales of JAC sedan cars decreased by 5.25% year-on-year to 138,264 units from 145,920 vehicles; MPV slipped 9.19% year-on-year to 59,989 units from 59,455; SRV decreased by 18.81% from 11,157 units to 9,058 units; and trucks decreased by 2.61 from 224,356 units from 224,356 vehicles. From 5% to 218,493 vehicles, the chassis increased from 25.6% to 26,098 vehicles from 25,571 vehicles.

In addition, there are 2,911 multi-functional commercial vehicles. Last year, the total sales volume was 448,813 units, compared with 466,459 units in 2011, down 3.78% year-on-year. Among them, 53,718 were exported, a decrease of 18.93% from 66,258 vehicles in 2011. The number of engines (self-provisioned) decreased by 4.15% year-on-year to 215,887 units from 225,241 units.

Production data

The increase in production in December was lower than the sales volume, but it was still better than the year-on-year drop of the previous year.

In December, JAC's sedan production increased by 53,49% to 15,685 from 10,219 units; MPV increased by 19.42% from 2,838 units to 3,389 units; SRV sales increased by 565.57% from 812 units to 812 units; and trucks from 16,362 units year-on-year. The decrease was 23.76% to 12,475 units; the chassis fell from 2,402 vehicles to 0.3394% year-on-year to 2,394 units.

Newly-manufactured 222 multi-functional commercial vehicles. The total production in December was 34,977 units, an increase of 9.50% compared to 31,943 units in December 2011. The number of engines was 19,056 units, an increase of 80.88% from 10,535 units.

For the whole year of 2012, the production of JAC sedan fell 6.25% from the previous year to 137,255; the MPV fell 59.907 year-on-year to 11.20% to 52,958; the SRV dropped by 24.19% year-on-year to 8,650 units from 11,410; the truck fell from 213,422 year-on-year. From 0.91% to 211,487 vehicles, chassis from 25,922 vehicles decreased by 2,22% to 25,346 vehicles.

The number of multi-purpose commercial vehicles is 3,022. The total annual production in 2012 was 438,718 units, which was a decrease of 4.00% compared with 456,986 units in 2011. The engine output was 215,990 units, which was a decrease of 4,01% from 225,024 units in 2011.
