Kuangpeng Spreads 90,000 Miles – Cascade Launches a New Round of Strategic Investment in China
China, the world’s third-largest forklift market after the United States and Japan, has always attracted significant attention from both domestic and international investors. In pursuit of growth opportunities, many companies have entered the market, creating a vibrant and competitive environment. This is not just about profit, but also a battle of capabilities and vision. In early 2006, the U.S.-based Cascade company, a global leader in forklift attachments and forks, launched a new round of strategic investment in China, marking the beginning of an exciting phase of expansion. Cascade's ambitious strategy includes not only the comprehensive renovation of its largest manufacturing base in Xiamen, but also the construction of a modern fork factory in Hebei and Xiamen. The company is integrating advanced IT systems and global communication platforms to ensure seamless operations across all locations. For nearly 70 years, Cascade has been dedicated to delivering high-value material handling solutions worldwide. In China, it made a significant impact by introducing world-class forklift attachment technology back in 1987. This initiative was recognized as a key national project for technology introduction and localization, playing a crucial role in replacing imported products. The Xiamen factory, completed in 2001, remains the largest production base for forklift attachments in the country. In 1996, Cascade introduced the first world-leading profile extrusion fork production line in China, setting a new standard in the industry. The forks produced at the Hebei factory are widely acknowledged as the best in the domestic market, earning trust from both peers and customers. These efforts allow Cascade’s clients to focus more on enhancing their core competencies, while entrusting their logistics and material handling needs to industry experts who provide the most effective solutions. As a result, Cascade has consistently remained a market leader in China, gaining the confidence and support of an ever-growing customer base. To further advance China’s logistics handling technology, Cascade is upgrading its Xiamen accessory factory with more advanced machining centers and welding robots—more advanced than those in the U.S. The company is also updating its paint and shot blasting lines, significantly improving its manufacturing capabilities in China. This allows for an "order-oriented" production model, leveraging China’s cost advantages to supply parts to other Cascade facilities globally. So far, the factory transformation has already yielded promising results. The 55F series of side shifters, originally developed in the U.S., are now being mass-produced in Xiamen using an order-driven approach, achieving the fastest delivery time for similar products in China. As part of its long-term strategy, Cascade is rapidly expanding its production capacity in China. By investing in facilities in Hebei and Xiamen, the company aims to maintain its leadership in the Chinese fork market and position China as its main production hub to meet growing demand across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. Currently, Cascade generates annual sales of 300 million yuan in China. After completing the first phase of its investment, the company expects its production capacity to exceed 600 million yuan. With a wingspan of 90,000 miles, Kuangpeng is leading the way in innovation. Cascade’s new round of strategic investment in China will further solidify its market leadership and contribute to the advancement of global material handling technologies, helping to bridge the gap between China and the world’s most advanced standards.Metal Plate,Brass Terminal Block,Plating Surface Treatment,Customized Different Material
