In early 2006, Cascade, a global leader in forklift attachments and forks, launched a new round of strategic investment in China, marking the beginning of a significant expansion that would soon reach its peak.

Cascade's ambitious investment includes not only the comprehensive renovation of its Xiamen plant, the largest forklift manufacturing base in China, but also the construction of a modern fork factory in Hebei and Xiamen. These facilities are equipped with compatible IT systems and global synchronous communication networks to ensure seamless operations across borders.
For nearly 70 years, Cascade has been dedicated to delivering high-value material handling solutions to customers around the globe. In China, Cascade was among the first to introduce world-class forklift attachment technology in 1987, which was later recognized as a key national project for technology introduction and localization. This helped reduce reliance on imported products. The Xiamen factory, completed in 2001, remains the largest production base for forklift attachments in China. In 1996, Cascade introduced advanced fork manufacturing technology to China and became the first to produce a world-leading profile extrusion fork line. Customers and peers alike recognize the superior quality of forks produced at the Hebei factory, making them the best in the domestic market. This ensures that our clients can focus more on improving their core competencies while entrusting their logistics handling needs to industry experts who provide the most effective solutions. As a result, Cascade has consistently remained a market leader in China, earning the trust and support of an ever-growing customer base.
To elevate China’s material handling technology to a higher level, Cascade is installing more advanced machining centers and welding robots in its Xiamen accessory factory than those in the U.S. It is also upgrading its paint and shot blasting lines, significantly enhancing its manufacturing capabilities in China. This allows for an “order-oriented†production model, leveraging China’s cost advantages to supply parts to other Cascade facilities worldwide. So far, the factory transformation has yielded promising results. The 55F series of side shifters, originally developed in the U.S., are now being mass-produced in Xiamen using an “order-oriented†approach, achieving the fastest delivery times for similar products in China.
As part of its long-term strategy, Cascade is rapidly expanding its production capacity in China. By investing in facilities in Hebei and Xiamen, the company aims to maintain its leadership in the Chinese fork market and use China as its primary production base to meet the growing demand for fork products in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
Currently, Cascade generates annual sales of 300 million yuan in China. After completing the first phase of its investment, production capacity is expected to exceed 600 million yuan. With a wingspan of 90,000 miles, Kuangpeng is leading the way in innovation.
