From June 3 to June 5, China's first large-scale exhibition focused on environmentally friendly achievements, themed "Environmentally Friendly and Influencing China," took place at the Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Center. The event showcased groundbreaking innovations and initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable development and environmental protection. Among the many exhibits, the contributions from petrochemical companies stood out as a highlight, drawing significant attention and praise from visitors and industry experts alike.
In the dedicated section for environmentally friendly enterprises, reporters observed that petrochemical companies had a strong presence, with numerous booths and a large number of participants. At the PetroChina Daqing Oilfield Co., Ltd. exhibition area, staff members shared insights into the company’s recent efforts in environmental protection. Over the past few years, Daqing Oil Field has invested over 8 billion yuan to construct 154 oil-containing sewage treatment stations, establishing the largest industrial wastewater treatment system in the country. These facilities have processed over 5 billion cubic meters of wastewater, significantly reducing pollution while also conserving valuable water resources.
During the exhibition, the China Environmental Friendly Summit was also held, bringing together hundreds of leading environmentally conscious enterprises. Attendees jointly issued the "Declaration of Environmental Friendliness," pledging to promote eco-friendly practices, fulfill environmental commitments, and encourage broader societal participation in sustainability efforts. The summit emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in building a greener, more sustainable future.
This year’s exhibition was organized by the China Environmental Protection Federation and supported by the People’s Government of Heilongjiang Province. It received backing from key national agencies, including the State Environmental Protection Administration, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Construction. The event not only highlighted China’s progress in green innovation but also served as a platform for collaboration and knowledge-sharing among businesses, government bodies, and environmental organizations.
