"Third-party inspection" project has been increased to more than 4,000 this year

According to the analysis of five academicians, most of China's food industry enterprises lack self-inspection capabilities, and their testing equipment is being updated slowly and out of service. High-precision equipment mainly relies on imports, and its use and maintenance costs are high, which seriously restricts the improvement of inspection capabilities; the lack of professionals As there is a shortage of public service platforms for the detection of small and medium-sized food companies, these problems need to be resolved.

According to the suggestions of five academicians, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology made a decision after research and demonstration: the establishment of a demonstration center for quality and safety testing of food companies at the Lanzhou Institute of Separation Science, Peking University, China Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Zhejiang University, and Lanzhou University. The institute and the China Instrument and Meter Association are joint participants.

In 2012, the Lanzhou Institute of Separation Science and Lanzhou University and other scientific research institutes jointly formed the “Gansu Guoxin Runda Analysis and Test Center”. In August of the same year, the nation’s first food quality inspection demonstration center was listed in Lanzhou, and was the first “third-party testing agency” in Lanzhou.

The demonstration center consulted the requirements of the European Food Inspection Regulations and conducted an overall renovation of the 5,000-square-meter laboratory building equipped with more than 130 sets of world-class analysis and detection instruments, including spectroscopy, chromatography, mass spectrometry, electrochemistry, x-ray meters and elements. Analyzer and so on. At the same time, it has a food safety smart inspection vehicle that can perform on-site inspection of some parameters in the environment and other fields. Especially in food and drug testing, it has advanced detection methods in the fields of food additives and illegal additives testing, microbiological testing, green food certification testing, organic food certification testing, and pesticide veterinary drug testing.

The center focuses on environmental and water quality, food and medicine, geochemical analysis, minerals and minerals, including dairy product testing, green food certification testing, pollution-free food certification testing, food additives and illegal additives and other categories. From 2000 to 2015, the number has increased from more than 2,000 to more than 4,000.

The demonstration center is not only developed in Lanzhou, but also with Lanzhou as the core. It has set up five branch inspection centers and offices in Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Shandong, and Linxia. Among them, Beijing, Xi'an and Linxia Sub-centers have started normal operations, and Chengdu and Shandong sub-centers are planning to build.

"Hazardous substances that affect public health in food can all be detected, 104 items can be detected in 106 drinking water detection indicators, and all items in food additives can be tested." On-site sampling, mainly rely on advanced detection technology and equipment. The smart inspection vehicle owned by the center is a key equipment, and its overall technology level is at the leading position in China. It can quickly and accurately detect microorganisms, toxic and harmful substances, additives, heavy metals, and adulterated foods in foods. The test car can detect whether the food contains nitrite, plasticizer, Salmonella, melamine and other harmful substances in 1 to 10 minutes.

From the 5 academician joint letter to the State Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, it is proposed that the establishment of a state-level food safety and quality inspection technology demonstration center in Lanzhou has been in place for four years. As the first “demonstration center” listed in China, food safety inspections are carried out in the production, processing, and circulation of agricultural raw materials to safeguard food safety in Lanzhou, and its social effects and demonstration effects are becoming more and more significant.
