From design to production to installation, just over half a month and yesterday, on the city balcony of Qianjiang New City, the first “drifting book pavilions” stood on the green belt along the line and entered people's eyes in a low-key manner.

With curiosity and anticipation, we embarked on the city's balcony and explored its appearance - people were unexpectedly low-key, simple and simpler than they thought. However, I have to admit that it blended well with the surroundings and has truly become a landscape here.

You can imagine such a picture: By next Tuesday, people in Hangzhou flock to the edge of the Qiantang River, take a book in the book pavilion, take a morning ride in the wind of the Qiantang River, and trace the sea in this book. .

Warm grey book stand, low key course

Yesterday evening, on the east side of the main balcony of the city balcony, on the green belt of the No. 1 sub-balcony, I saw the “drifting book pavilion” that had been assembled. At first glance, it looks like the kind of two bookcases we use in our homes. The three-story bookshelf, double-glazed windows, and the canopy on top of it make it look very different. Listening to the designers, they once thought about making a book booth resembling a telephone booth. Later they discovered that it was too bulky and they gave up. Repeatedly drafted, finally came up with this lightweight look.

Look closely, you will find the wishful patterns on the bottom and sides of the book pavilion, which play a large decorative role - let the book pavilion not too monotonous, but also a kind of ancient beauty, and book matching, but also echoes with the waves of the Qiantang River next to it. .

The only kind of warm grey color on the book pavilion is a bit surprising. At first sight, I felt that the entire bookshop was too low-key and not attractive enough. However, if you look at it for a long time, it feels pretty good-looking. In particular, later into the books, colorful book covers, there is a "good complexion."

After listening to us discuss the colors, Cai Hongwei, Director of the Planning and Design Department of the Qianjiang New Town Management Committee came to me and explained to me: “The book booth itself is made of steel plates. If it is not on the color, it will look very blunt, and using bright colors will make people feel It feels like jumping. Warm gray is unpopular and low-key, which is more in line with the overall style of the new city. What we want is this feeling. If the color is too jumpy, it will not match, it is too abrupt.”

Cai Hongwei said that the location of the book pavilion from design to display emphasizes a low-key feeling. 50 bookstands along the line will not stand alone in the open space, either under the trees or underneath. building.

Although the bookshelf looks at the mini, the internal space is actually large enough. Each shelf has 30 cm, enough to put a magazine; depth of 35 cm, and thicker than the normal bookshelf. Whether it is a big book or a small book, the problem here is not great. Each layer is 60 centimeters long, and it is not a big problem to put 50 or 60 books.

I specially tried on the bookstore where the book was placed. With a total height of 2.4 meters, I raised my arms and reached out and could get a copy of the book. I didn't have to lame at all (the reporter was 160 centimeters tall).

The glass window has two handles, pulling is very convenient and it is not hard. There is a lock underneath the glass window, and the book will be locked at night.

Intimately, there will be one or two wooden stools next to the book pavilion. People who come to “drift” can sit here and slowly read and find their favorite books.

A person in charge said that in the future, bookstores will be open from 7:00 to 19:00 and will be locked at other times.
