The National Development and Reform Commission said that the price of domestically produced vehicles has fallen sharply. In May, the price of domestically produced vehicles fell by 0.53% from the previous month, the largest decline in a single month this year, down 1.14% from the same period of last year. Passenger cars have become the main factor driving the price decline.
Among them, the overall price of passenger cars was lower, down 1.05% from the previous month and down 1.71% from the same period of last year. After the decrease of 1.66% from June 2010, it exceeded 1% again. Among the subdivided models, the prices of basic, sports passenger cars and minibuses decreased by 0.08%, 1.98% and 1.22% respectively from the previous month, which was 1.18%, 2.45% and 1.70% lower than the same period of last year.
Commercial vehicle prices generally rose slightly, up 0.10% from the previous month and down 0.50% from the same period last year. Among them, the price of commercial buses rose slightly, up 0.26% from the previous month and down 1.28% from the same period last year.
Among the subdivided models, the price of light passenger cars increased by 0.08% and 0.25% respectively year-on-year, and the price of large passenger cars increased by 0.29% from the previous month and decreased by 1.79% year-on-year. The price fluctuation of commercial trucks decreased by 0.06% from the previous year and 0.66% from the same period of last year. Among the subdivided models, the prices of medium and heavy-duty trucks decreased by 0.72% and 0.04% respectively from the previous month, with year-on-year increases of -0.48% and 1.00% respectively. The prices of light trucks increased by 1.68% and 2.15% respectively.
It is worth noting that the price of imported cars has dropped slightly. In May, the price of imported cars fell slightly, down 0.19% from the previous month and down 2.37% from the same period last year. Among them, the price of imported cars decreased by 1.34% and 5.24% respectively year-on-year, and the price of imported off-road vehicles increased by 0.97% and 0.59% respectively.
On June 12, Cheng Xiaodong, chief automobile analyst of the Price Monitoring Center of the National Development and Reform Commission, said in an interview that the main reason for the decline in automobile prices is that the inventory pressure of dealers is relatively large, and the phenomenon of pressure storage is relatively serious. The future trend of automobile prices is not clear to distribution. Businesses have brought some pressure to sell at a reduced price in order to withdraw funds. At present, the inventory pressure of dealers is still within the reasonable inventory range of one month.
He said that on the other hand, it is mainly due to the indirect impact of China's foreign oil dependence on consumer psychology, which has caused consumers to postpone purchases. 80% of gasoline consumption is mainly cars, so the rise in oil prices has had a certain impact on car sales, but with the recent two oil prices falling, car sales in some parts of the South have picked up.
